ITS SSHOWTIME+ captured five U.S. and Canadian National Top Ten Halter titles behind the campaign slogan “May the most horse win.” It’s cute and catchy and all that, but primarily, it tells the truth about what this stallion and the Day Dream program represents. Its Sshowtime+ is a living embodiment of what a classic Arabian show horse is, as when he enters the ring, either in halter or Country English Pleasure, he is the most naturally athletic, most conformationally balanced and the most emblematic of overall Arabian type of any horse in the ring.

“There are those who look for a horse with one extreme attribute, but I feel it’s better for the breed to select a stallion who will improve the breed first, then add his own special talents and qualities as a bonus,” explains his breeder and owner Carol Steppe. “It’s a step backward to sacrifice an excellent overall individual and choose a horse because of just one extreme quality. Its SshowTime’s strengths are that he has few weaknesses. There aren’t many horses who possess a better body or straighter legs. His neck is high-set, clean and carried perfectly when in motion. He is loaded with intelligence and charisma, and he exudes a dramatic presence that gives him all the flair one could desire,” Carol adds. “Overall, he’s a lot of horse, and one who is able in quality and pedigree to enhance the breed.”

“Born in 1995, Its SshowTime+ has lived in the national halter spotlight since his debut as a U.S. National Top Ten Heritage Sweepstakes Yearling Colt,” she adds. “As a three-year-old, handler Mike Neal showed him to U.S. National Top Ten Futurity honors, then returned to Scottsdale the following year to win Reserve Champion in Stallions of 1995, just a single point behind the horse subsequently named show champion stallion. Along the way, he’s won five Regional Stallion Championships and five National Halter titles,” Carol remarks. Recently, the tall, bay stallion made a dramatic debut in Country English Pleasure with trainer Rich Doran, winning the 2002 Region III Show CEP Stallion Class and finishing as a semi-finalist at the U.S. National Championships just one year after competing as a halter stallion.

Since making his dramatic debut in Country English Pleasure, Its SshowTime has rapidly risen to the top of the sport. In his first full season in the ring, he was named Region 3 Reserve Champion in Country English Pleasure and Top 20 at the U.S. National Championships. The next year, he captured the Region 3 Open Championship in Country English Pleasure enroute to a return to the U.S. Nationals (finishing 11th in the finals).

Its SshowTme's first get are emulating their sire¹s great athletic versatility and beauty. His 2004 colt Signifikaynce (ex Aristokayte) won the coveted 2005 U.S. National Reserve Champion Yearling Colt title and the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Championship, two of the halter world's most acclaimed honors. His daughter Spring Time DDA (ex Kizz Me Kayte by Shah Azim) captured two 2004 U.S. National Sport Horse Championships winning the Open Jumpers and besting a field of purebred and Half-Arabians to win the Sport Horse Nationals Mini-Prix. The gorgeous bay mare also was named 2002 Scottsdale Top Ten in Halter Mares of 1998, while winning the show¹s open jumper championship just two years later.

Its SshowTime's mark as a great show horse sire is sure to surpass even his own extraordinary accomplishments in the ring. His ability to unity athleticism and extreme type in his get is a rare feat. It is evident, judging by the quality and promise of each foal crop, that he is quickly becoming one of the breed's most important young sires.
