A big Thank You to Natalie Jones, Cynthia Burkman, and the entire Burkman Centre Team! This was Signify's first show and he was named champion in the Futurity Hunter open. We are so proud of him and excited to see him compete at US Nationals!

Congratulations to Euphoryia on becoming Canadian National Champion in the Two Year Old Filly Championship! Magic happens when the breeding is right! Donna Hentges of Greymoor Farms deserves a huge high five for adding another National Champion to Its Sshow Time's list of National Champions and to Drama Qyeen (by the great First Cyte) for her start on producing foals that will carry her great National Champion legacy on for generations. Many thanks to Jeff Schall for the presentation at Canadian Nationals, from the entry, to the center ring, to the winners circle, it was a fantastic show. Euphoryia looks great in red roses and we feel confident she will be adding many more garlands to her collection as the years go by.

This beautiful filly will be showing in the Breeder's Sweepstakes Yearling Filly class at U.S. Nationals.  She is the Region 4 Champion Filly, and she was Top Five in her class at the 2008 Las Vegas World Cup (younger fillies).  She is a Showkayce daughter, out of a Jullyen El Jamaal daughter. She will be shown by Paul Mehew at Parkside Arabians and is proudly owned by Linda Rose.

The big news around Day Dream Arabians is that our breeding stallions have once again produced a huge win at Scottsdale. Phaedra PVF, a Showkayce daughter, who was shown, owned and bred by Ann and Punch Benson, was awarded the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Auction Filly Championship.  Ann was just wonderful at the lead.  We were so impressed with her joy of showing and her confidence in her filly.  We also thank Jeff Schall for his excellent job of training, and conditioning Phaedra, and for instructing his amateur handler on how to compete at the top of the game.  Jeff kept Phaedra fresh, moving great, bursting with attitude, full of show and loving life; a balancing act that only the very most talented horsemen can achieve.

Phaedra PVF
Scottsdale Signature Stallion Auction Filly Championship
winning the check for $35,821.00

When you look at these show results it is fascinating to consider that of the 144 stallions in the Scottsdale Signature Stallion breeding classes, the yearlings from the Day Dream stallions have won 4 major titles with two champions and two reserves, and two have been colts and two have been fillies.  In the first year of the Auction class (2005) the colts were a Day Dream Arabians stallion sweep.  The It’s Sshow Time colt Signifikayce (later named U.S. Reserve National Champion Yearling Colt) was named the Champion and the Showkayce colt, SHF Firzt in Show was the Reserve.  The amazingly beautiful Shownel was Reserve Champion in the Signature yearling class in 2006 and this year Ann Benson showed her wonderful filly Phaedra PVF to the Auction Championship.  Day Dream stallions have won over $65,000.00 for their owners, and this has all happened in just 3 years!  Best of luck to the smart breeders that were the successful bidders on the auction breedings for 2008.  We believe that they will have the best opportunity in the industry to bring home a big paycheck.

As the winner cashes in her $35,000.00+ check you can begin to see that the results just don’t lie.  In the auction class every stallion has an equal chance to produce a great foal, every bidder will try to breed the winner and given just one equal chance to do so our stallions (Showkayce+and his son, Its Sshow Time+) have prevailed at an enormously high percentage.  Any stallion worth his salt will produce a few good foals out of 50-100 foals; but how many can do it head on head with just one opportunity?  To the true breeder it is all about percentages.  In that arena we are very proud to wear the red roses!

We had many show winners at Scottsdale in performance as well.  We are so proud of the versatility of our horses.  We had class winners in both Hunter Jr. Horse Mares, the lovely young mare, Showanna with Katie Beck, and Western sidesaddle winner Showzim Up looking breathtaking with Margie Becker and owner, Holly Schaldach.  Both of these horses also later went Top Ten in their divisions.  Showrrender continues to do a great job with his new owners the McAllister family and both Maggie and Laura rode him beautifully, and gathered lots of ribbons, many of them blue.  Our wonder child Showgun PGN++// with Kristin Hardin, won both of his rounds over fences and won the flat class and was once again named Working Hunter Champion – a great thrill.

Showgun PGN++// was also given the great honor of receiving the WAHO award for the United States this year.  This is a huge honor worldwide and is given to one horse per country each year.  We hope that Showgun will be a great representative for the United States and for the Sport Horse division.  Thank you again to Liz Salmon for her encouragement and support.
